The 18-Month Journey of Crafting the Perfect Coffee Companion: iKoffy GoBrew

After 18 months of relentless research and development, countless trials, and endless tweaks, I embarked on a mission to perfect every detail of the GoBrew maker to ensure it delivers the ultimate coffee experience.

Creating a maker that seamlessly brews, stores, and travels with you was no small feat. We went through five design iterations to achieve the ideal balance, resulting in the sleek 78° body design, ceramic coating, U-shaped base, and meticulously crafted rim you see today.

The challenge of precise weighing in a compact base required high standards for sensor selection and structural design. After seven iterations of the sensor bracket, we finally achieved stable and accurate measurements, proving that good things do come in small packages.

From structural processing techniques to touch chip integration, Bluetooth connectivity, and cup body assembly, each hardware component underwent extensive R&D and continuous optimization. It was a labor of love, ensuring every sip is worth savoring.

We wanted every coffee lover to effortlessly brew a delicious cup of specialty pour-over coffee with GoBrew. Our app, infused with world champion brewing techniques and DIY modes, was designed with this in mind. After three rounds of design optimization, even beginners can brew a great cup in 2-3 minutes by following the guide, while seasoned coffee aficionados can create and share their own DIY brewing profiles.

Throughout the development process, I invited numerous baristas to test and provide feedback, ensuring the product met professional standards. Their insights led to continuous adjustments and improvements.

We produced 100 Beta units for testing, leading to enhancements in app connectivity, waterproofing, sealing, lid design, outdoor display brightness, and touch sensitivity. Each improvement was a step towards making this travel coffee maker as perfect as possible.

In the end, every tweak and adjustment was made with one goal in mind: to create a coffee travel maker that’s not just functional but also a joy to use. After all, life’s too short for bad coffee, and with GoBrew, you’ll never have to settle for less.
